BRUNSWICK — High school fall practices are scheduled to begin on Monday.

At Brunswick, practice times have been announced.

Cheerleaders are slated to practice Aug. 18-19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. If the weather is inclement, practices will be held inside the cafeteria.

Cross country runners practice each day the first week (Aug. 18-22) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while field hockey hits the field from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. each day, with a second session scheduled to be held on Aug. 19 and 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Football players report on Monday, with lineman practicing from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and skill positions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

On Monday, the team will depart the high school at noon for Thomas Point Beach and practice from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, lineman practice from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with skill positions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The bus departs Thomas Point Beach, with everyone practicing from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

For the remainder of the week, football players will practice from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (lineman only), 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (skill positions) and 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (everyone) at the high school practice field.

BHS golfers will get started at 4 p.m. on Monday at Brunswick Golf Club with a mandatory meeting. Golfers will hit the links on Tuesday and Thursday at 4 p.m.

Boys soccer practices at Crimmins Field from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the girls soccer squad goes from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the high school. Also, the girls will go to Thomas Point Beach on Aug. 22, with the bus departing the high school at 7 a.m.

All student-athletes must have all of their paperwork completed and a proof of an undated physical turned in by Monday to participate. Paperwork can be obtained at the high school tab ( www.brunswick. k12. me. us/bhs/ or in the high school main office.

Mt. Ararat

Fall paperwork packets are available for pick-up in the main office at the high school, or can be located on the school’s website under the athletic forms tab (www.mtasports.com). Student-athletes must complete all paperwork and have a current physical on file in the Athletic Department before they are allowed to participate.

Cheerleaders will meet in the high school Commons from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., while field hockey kicks off with a parent meeting on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the high school.

Field hockey practices from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cross country meets on the track and practices from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Girls soccer hits the field from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the boys have two practices at the Woodside Elementary School field — 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

And, golfers need to report to Highland Green at 8:30 a.m. for a meeting before hitting the links at 9 a.m.

Freeport

Boys soccer practices will be held Monday to Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the high school soccer field. After the third day of tryouts, the varsity team will practice from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the jayvees will hit the field from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Girls soccer player will meet at 8 a.m. on Monday before practicing until noon. For the remainder of the week, the team will practice from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the high school field.

Field hockey will meet on the field hockey field and practice from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day, while cross country runners will meet on the front lawn of FHS and practice from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Golfers will hit the links at Freeport Country Club each day at 3:30 p.m. Players will need to provide their own transportation, and appropriate golf attire is required (no jeans or T-shirts).

Cheerleaders practice each day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the FHS cafeteria.

The football practice schedule has been revised. Players will meet at the Pownal Road Recreation Field, with practices each day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Aug. 23, practice will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Aug. 26-29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Equipment will be issued on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the high school. All players must have a signed contract and a physician form, along with a concussion sign-off form before receiving equipment.

Lisbon

Parents of potential Greyhound players can meet with Lisbon coaches on Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

In order for student-athletes to participate, they must sign a co-curricular contract, have an up-to-date physical, proof of insurance and have completed the impact baseline test. All paperwork is available in the high school office. Contracts must be filled out and turned in by today.

The football team will practice each day from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., and from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The Greyhounds will scrimmage at Oak Hill on Aug. 26 and at Telstar on Aug. 30. Both games are slated to begin at 4 p.m.

Boys soccer practices from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 21- 22 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The team will visit Gray-New Gloucester for a play day on Aug. 23 and host the Lisbon Round Robin on Aug. 30.

Girls soccer will meet Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on Aug. Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Greyhounds will host an Alumni game on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m., and participate in the Leavitt Tournament on Aug. 24, departing the high school at 7:30 a.m.

Cross country runners will meet at Beaver Park each day from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the Greyhounds running in the Laliberte Invitational at Cony High School in Augusta on Aug. 29 at 4 p.m.

And, field hockey practices will be held Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday practices will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., with an Alumni game slated for Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. Lisbon will head to Yarmouth on Aug. 23 for a play day, visits Cape Elizabeth on Aug. 25 and host Brunswick on Aug. 28 (4 p.m. varsity; 5:30 p.m. jayvee).
