WINSLOW (AP) — Police say the death of a 3-monthold boy in his Winslow home does not appear suspicious.
Authorities say the boy was found by his parents Wednesday morning unresponsive in a portable crib.
They called 911 at about 8:30 a.m.
Emergency responders attempted resuscitation but were unsuccessful.
Steve McCausland, a spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety, tells the Kennebec Journal an autopsy was performed but additional tests are needed to determine the cause of death. At this point it does not appear suspicious.
McCausland says state police investigate all deaths of children under the age of 3 years.
