BRUNSWICK— The Brunswick Junior High field hockey program recently received a USA Field Hockey FUNdamentals
Equipment Grant.
The equipment grant provides sticks, balls and cones to programs looking to grow the sport of field hockey in their local community. Brunswick Junior High School received five sets of equipment, which equals 120 sticks, 120 balls and 60 cones sponsored by Harrow Sports and USA Field Hockey.
The program will emphasize fun and will involve playing small-sided games on any flat surface with a small or large group of children (USA Field Hockey).
The Brunswick field hockey coaches’ goal is to work in conjunction with the Brunswick Recreation Department to create opportunities for youth interested in learning the game of field hockey through clinics, intramurals and physical education classes.
