This past Saturday, the Bowdoinham Public Library held it’s annual plant sale for the 41st year. More amazing than the longevity of the event is the dedication of the volunteers who spent well over 1,000 hours potting, labeling, sorting, watering, carrying, organizing, and selling over 3,000 plants in the Bowdoinham Town Hall.
Couple that with the steady stream of shoppers who attended the sale, in what at times can only be described as a deluge, and there is plenty to be in awe of. How fortunate we are to have such dedicated people among us. Thank you volunteers, shoppers, and The Times Record for supporting our sale and the Bowdoinham Public Library! Happy gardening!

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
