LISBON FALLS —Lisbon scored six runs in the third inning en route to a 6-3 Mountain Valley Conference baseball win over Winthrop on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds improved to 6-2 and host Boothbay Region today.
In the third, Tucker Brannon had a two-run single, while Joe Philbrick, Brett Gravel, Darren Ward and Tyler Halls followed with consecutive RBI hits.
Kyle Bourget went the distance for Lisbon and gave up six hits, with 12 strikeouts and three walks.
Ben Allen went five innings (six strikeouts, six walks) for Winthrop (3-4) and Zach Steele finished up.
Philbrick had two singles and a double in the win.

In non-conference action on Tuesday, Richmond improved to 5-1 and is scheduled to host Rangeley on Thursday and visit Forest Hills on Saturday.
Against Old Orchard Beach, Mike Stewart twirled a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
Stewart also helped his own cause with a single and two RBIs, while Brendan Emmons, Tyler Soucy, Cody Tribbett (RBI), Bailey Johansen (RBI) and Matt Holt each singled.
