BATH — Bath Savings Institution’s Senior Vice President John Marsh Jr. was recently appointed commissioner to the Maine State Housing Authority by Gov. Paul LePage. Marsh’s appointment was unanimously endorsed by the Joint Standing Committee on Labor, Commerce, Research and Economic Development.

Marsh has served as a lender at Bath Savings Institution since 1975. Over many years of civic involvement, his expertise was helpful to numerous nonprofits including: the Genesis Fund, United Voice Community Land Trust home ownership program, Main Street Bath, Patten Free Library, Bath Rotary Charitable Trust and Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. He has also worked with the city of Bath on the Community Development Block Grant Committee, Housing Loan Review Committee, Waterfront Park Committee and the Bath Development Corporation.
