BATH — Ruth Nadeau powered through for seven goals and dished out an assist as the Morse High School girls lacrosse team defeated Camden Hills, 14-7, on Thursday in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play at McMann Field.

Morse improved to 2-0 and hosts 2-0 Freeport on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Maddy Olsen had a gamehigh four assists and added a goal, while Bronwyn Morissette (one goal, two assists), Sophie Sreden (two goals, one assist) and Isabelle Paulus (two goals, one assist) had three points apiece in the win. Ann Tolan chipped in a goal.

Morse goaltender Cat Sener turned aside 13 shots.

Katherine Orne paced the Windjammers (1-2) with three goals. Kaia Allwine had one goal and an assist, with one goal apiece coming from Hannah Wincklhoner, Lea Smith and Macy Buck. Sarabelle Fischer picked up an assist.

Camden goalie Brittany Winslow had 14 stops.

Lizzy Martin scored four goals and Julia Dearden added three as the visiting Falcons improved to 2-0 with a Western Maine Conference win at Yarmouth.

Courtney Broderick chipped in two goals and an assist in the win, while Meredith Broderick and Emily Johnson produced two goals apiece.

Freeport (2-0) netminder Molly Lane had seven saves.

For North Yarmouth Academy (0-2), Olivia Madore had two goals and Alex Wahlstrom one goal and two assists.
