SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) — The delicious pastry served up by a Maine bakery is still on the menu, it just has a new name, thanks to a bit of legal trouble.

Little Bigs Bakery in South Portland had been serving up its version of the Cronut, a croissant-doughnut hybrid, until earlier this month when it got a cease and desist order.

It turns out the term Cronut was trademarked by the New York City bakery where the treats were invented.

Little Bigs owner James Plunkett tells WMTW-TV the attention was actually flattering and he considered it a badge of honor.
