LEWISTON — The Portland Pirates are scheduled to host their annual New Year’s Eve game on Dec. 31when they take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
The game has a special 5:30 p.m. start time – get to the game early and get a noisemaker, courtesy of the Pirates.
This year’s display is the 19th year that the Pirates will host the New Year’s Eve game and indoor fireworks display, and the first time it will be hosted at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.
The game will feature the first meeting between the Sound Tigers and the Pirates this season, and the first meeting ever at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Following the game, the Pirates will host the largest indoor fireworks display in Maine.
