BATH — A special celebration to commemorate the Bath Middle School’s 50th birthday is scheduled for Monday between the boys and girls varsity games.
“That is a varsity doubleheader basketball night with our girls playing Camden Hills at 5 p.m. followed by the boys around 6:30,” said organizer Brian Hatch.
“Between games we will be conducting a special ceremony noting the 50th anniversary — or birthday — of the opening of the BJH gym. Mari Eosco, Bath City Council Chair, will be reading a proclamation from the city and other ‘dignitaries’ will be in attendance: former teachers, coaches, players, officials, and even out-of-towners, who perhaps had competed on that floor.”
For more information, contact Hatch at 443-5647 or 319-8705.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
