TOPSHAM — The Bath Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball team slowly pulled away for a 21-12 win over Mt. Ararat on Wednesday.
The Destroyers led 6-2 after a quarter, 13-8 at the half and 19-10 through three.
Bath’s Paige Faulkingham’s six points led all scorers, with Macie Gagne, Maddie McDonough and Vanessa St. Pierre chipping in four points apiece. Katie Tucker scored two and Mae Winglass had one point to round out the scoring.
Kim St. Pierre, Jacqueline Chadwick and Macie Coffin all turned in good defensive performances for Bath.
