The Salvation Army tree will be given to a family in need. The Independence Association trees will decorate two of their residential homes. The American Red Cross and the Tri-County Literacy trees will be used to decorate the offices of the agencies. Agencies received the Christmas trees, which were donated by Target in partnership with United Way of Mid Coast Maine, last week at the Target store in Topsham. Target’s Share-A-Tree program gives away the trees from their store display, working with United Way to find agencies that can use the trees to help bring the spirit of the holiday season to local people.
