Rosanna Gargiulo has been hired as a full-time general assignment reporter at The Times Record.
Gargiulo, 30, attended Brunswick High School, earned a BA in global journalism studies this year from the University of Massachusetts, and has completed a number of feature assignments over the past several months as a freelancer for the newspaper. Her main responsibility will be as general assignment reporter, specializing in multimedia in Bath, Freeport and across the readership area.
“It’s wonderful to find someone with skills, experience and energy who also happens to be local,” Managing Editor Bob Mentzinger said.
“Rosanna has shown a high level of enthusiasm for the type of collaborative reporting that will separate us from the many competitors in our market in the coming weeks and months,” he said. “We’re thrilled to welcome her, and for our readers to read her.”
Gargiulo began her tenure Nov. 25.

Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
