WISCASSET — The Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce invites all Wiscasset area residents to join them on Saturday, Nov. 30 for Small Business Saturday and enjoy their buy local program “Think Outside the Box.”
Shopping locally keeps the dollars spent at our businesses in the local economy, encourages local prosperity, and builds community. What better day to support your local businesses than Small Business Saturday.
While shopping throughout the area, be sure to spend some time in Wiscasset village. Saturday at Sarah’s Cafe be entertained by Nick Apollonio and Bob Stuart of Rockport from 2 to 4 p.m.
Through the chamber’s buy local promotion, “Think Outside the Box,” benefit from shopping locally by qualifying for a variety of prizes with the passport campaign. For every $20 spent at participating businesses receive a stamp on your chamber-issued passport. Once you receive five stamps, drop your passport off at The Bank of Maine, The First, Wiscasset Town Office, Wiscasset Community Center, or All Play Family Entertainment in Waldoboro to qualify for a variety of prizes. The raffle prizes will be drawn on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Le Garage; followed by fireworks at the Wiscasset commercial pier.
