The Maine Water Resources Research Institute and the Maine Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse encourage everyone to take part in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at more than 150 locations across Maine.
The event is an opportunity to safely dispose of prescription drugs, protecting families from potential misuse and rivers, lakes, groundwater and other water sources from potential contamination.
