Rollins’ manager, Heather Raubeson, R.N., clinical care coordinator for Bodwell Rehabilitation Unit at Mid Coast Senior Health Center, submitted the nomination citing the tremendous positive impact that Rollins has had on patients, families and staff.
“She is known at Mid Coast Senior Health Center for her sense of humor, dependability, and extraordinary patient care, delivered with patience and compassion,” said Raubeson.
“We are an extra set of eyes for the nurse,” said Rollins. “You have to be really observant to notice any changes about a patient’s status, such as a slight change in their breathing or a bruise on their skin. You also need to be very confident and positive in order to make patients feel at ease.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
