BATH — Two more health practitioners recently joined the team at Heart of Bath Health Center at 9 Centre St. in Bath. The center is a collective of individual practitioners dedicated to the health and wellness of the community.
Lauren Mofford, a licensed massage therapist, is a 2003 graduate of the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro. Mofford focused on sports massage and injury prevention, and had the opportunity to practice post-event massage at such events as the Boston Marathon. She also did additional studies in myofascial release and assistive stretching.
Amanda Walden studied Reiki I and II under Martha Spruce, a Reiki master/teacher. Reiki is a deeply relaxing form of hands-on energy work that is done while you’re fully clothed.
The Heart of Bath Health Center now offers an array of health services including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage, thai massage, Reiki, and rolfing. For more information, call 442-0885.
