BOOTHBAY — A charming love story, delightful comedy and memorable music will bring The Boothbay Playhouse’s 2013 season to a close with the world’s longest-running musical, ”The Fantasticks.”

It is a timeless tale — full of magic and moonlight — of a young boy and girl who fall madly in love but soon grow restless and disillusioned. Matt and Luisa are in love but find their relationship challenged by their intruding fathers and a bandit narrator know as El Gallo. This tender coming-of-age story with beautiful music and a dose of nostalgia is a guaranteed treat for all.

Final performances are Friday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 24, at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $23 for adults and $19 for children under 17, available at the Playhouse box office or by phone at 633- 3379.
