LISBON FALLS — Lisbon High School Fall Athletic programs will begin the preseason on Aug. 19.

In order to participate, students must have completed the co-curricular contract, have an up-to-date physical, proof of insurance and have completed the Impact baseline test.

Football practices will be held from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on the practice field. The Greyhounds, led by longtime coach Dick Mynahan, will scrimmage Oak Hill on Aug. 26 at 4 p.m., and host Telstar in a preseason tilt Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.

Dan Sylvester’s boys soccer team will practice from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Lisbon will play in the A. Mooney Tournament at Gray-New Gloucester on Aug. 24, and host a round robin on Aug. 31.

Coach Jake Gentle returns to lead the girls soccer squad, with practices held Aug. 19-23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be a parents meeting on Aug. 23 at the soccer field at 5:30 p.m., with an Alumni game at 6 p.m. Lisbon will play in the Leavitt Soccer Tournament on Aug. 24, with players departing the school at 8 a.m.

Longtime cross country coach Hank Fuller will run practices at Beaver Park in Lisbon from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Greyhounds open with the Laliberte Invitational at Cony High School at Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.

And, Julie Wescott’s Class C state champion Lisbon field hockey team will practice from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19-22. The first scrimmage is a home contest against Westbrook on Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. There will be a parents meeting on Aug. 23 at 5:15 p.m., with an Alumni game to follow.
