FREEPORT — Award-winning author and illustrator Tracy Kane will appear at the L.L. Bean flagship store on Saturday, July 27, as part of KidsFest. The author of the popular Fairy Houses Series of photographic and illustrated books will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to build fairy houses with families and sign copies of her books.
All ages are welcome. There is no charge for this event. Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of natural materials to use for fairy house building.
In each illustrated story book, Kane combines her love of nature with a touch of magic. Her stories emphasize a respect for nature and provide a way for children to learn about and become part of the natural world around them.
