BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Celtics on Monday signed center Vitor Faverani of Brazil and point guard Phil Pressey from Missouri.
Faverani, 25, is a 6-foot-11 center who played for Valencia Basket in Spain last season.
Pressey is a 5-foot-11 point guard who was a member of the Celtics’ summer league roster. He averaged 9.4 points, 6.6 assists and two steals in 23 minutes in Orlando this month.
Pressey finished one assist shy of the second highest single season mark for assists in SEC history last year.
