TOPSHAM — The summer reading program at Topsham Public Library continues throughout July, highlighted by a Bowdoin International Music Festival community concert with talented Artists of Tomorrow, 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.
These are extraordinary young musicians who come to the festival each summer from conservatories and graduate schools all over the world.
On Saturday, July 13, Dianne Benedict will conduct a memoir workshop. Benedict has taught at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Vermont College of Fine Arts and Stonecoast. Her book, “Shiny Objects” won the Iowa Short Fiction Award. Registration is required for this event.
At 3 p.m. Friday, July 19, Chewonki representatives will present their Owls program, allowing people to see live owls up close. This show is for or all ages who can sit quietly.
Other events for kids are Lindsay and her puppet pals at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27 and a family concert with Matt Loosigian at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 31.
