LEWISTON — For more than 40 years, the voices of Ladysmith Black Mambazo have married the intricate rhythms and harmonies of their native South African musical traditions to the sounds and sentiments of Christian gospel music.

Now, the 16-time Grammynominated group will bring its sound to the Bates College Chapel stage for one night only. LA Arts hosts the performance Tuesday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m.
