The Bath Area Soup Kitchen will close after the meal on Friday, June 28 and reopen Sept. 4.
The most recent soup kitchen manager had to resign due to illness, and the staff is now seeking another manager. Anyone interested may call 798-2239. It is a volunteer position.
During this hiatus, the Soup Kitchen will offer a second box of food at the Bath Area Food Pantry.
The Food Pantry is open to residents of Bath, West Bath, Phippsburg, Georgetown, Woolwich and Arrowsic, at the UCC Church, 150 Congress St. in Bath, Tuesdays and Fridays 5 to 7 p.m.
