BATH — The Cal Ripken District 4 Tournament has kicked off at the Donnie Small Athletic Facility in Bath on Thursday with the Lisbon 12U and 10U all-stars defeating their counterparts from Bath.

The Lisbon U10s prevailed 14-4 behind the pitching of Mitchell Tuplin and Jack Tibbetts. Josiah Yeaton, Sammy Sinibaldi and Ethan Upham shared the mound duties for Bath.

The offensive punch for Lisbon was led by Nicholas Ferrance with two singles, Seth Leeman with a double and Tuplin and Ezekial Spiro with a single apiece.

Bath’s offense was provided by Brogan Shaw with two singles and Sammy Sinibaldi (double).

The Lisbon U12 all-stars defeated Bath 3-2 with all three runs coming in the third inning.

Noah Austin started things with a lead-off double, followed by a Lucas Francis home run. Deven Hannan kept things going with a double and he scored on a Cole Bolduc single. Noah Austin also had a triple and single.

Nick Austin and Cam Brown-Walton each chipped in with a single.

Bath scored in the fourth when Lucas Groat singled and scored on Kameron Harrison single.

Bath threatened in the top of the sixth when Isaak Flaming led off with a single, and after two stolen bases, scored on a sacrifice fly by Austin Magliozzi.

Lukas Osterhout had a single in the second for Bath’s only other hit.

Bolduc (four strikeouts, two walks), Noah Austin (two strikeouts) and Francis (one strikeout) pitched for Lisbon, while Isaiah Cogswell (five strikeouts) and Thomas Warren (four strikeouts) hurled for Bath.

The double-elimination tournaments continue through the weekend and into early next week.
