Samantha Cox

Samantha is the daughter of Lisa and Allen Cox, of Buxton. Samantha has been a National Honor Society officer and member of the Select Chorus for three years. She has participated in cross country and indoor/outdoor track for all four years and is captain of all three in her senior year. She has received the Angie Abrams Outstanding Senior Athlete Award and Smith Book Award. She will be attending Tufts University for pre-veterinary medicine and later will specialize in animal medicine.

Kyle DesVergnes

Kyle is the son of Shelley and Dan DesVergnes, of Buxton. Kyle has received athletic awards for 1st Team and Junior Varsity Baseball and has played four years of high school recreational basketball. He has received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award for three years. Kyle will be attending the University of New England with plans of becoming a pharmacist.

Paul Druchniak

Paul is the son of Sally Clark and Paul Druchniak, of Standish. Paul has participated in the Maine State Ballet, Mad Horse Theater, Math Team, Westbrook Seals swimming and varsity swimming. He has received a Swim Team MVP Award and has been a National Honor Society member. Paul will be attending Ursinus College majoring in business.

Tyler Gamblin

Tyler is the son of Lesley Lafland, of Springvale, and Roger Gamblin, of Limington. Tyler has participated in Key Club, National Honor Society, Natural Helpers and Student Council. He served as Division Lt. Governor for New England District of Key Club and was also a two-time delegate at the International Convention, and was awarded the Outstanding Lt. Governor Award. He was also a delegate for Dirigo Boys State. He has received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award for three years, the College of the Atlantic Book Award, as well as managing the girls varsity basketball team. Tyler will be attending the University of Maine and majoring in biochemistry with hopes to work in forensics.

Lindsey Gammon

Lindsey is the daughter of Stacy and Jennifer Gammon, of Buxton. She has participated in varsity soccer and has been captain for two seasons. She is also varsity softball captain, and manager of boys varsity basketball. She has been secretary of the Spanish Language Honor Society, member of the National Honor Society, Maine Medical Explorers, and a MMC Junior Volunteer. She has received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award all four years, SMAA All-Academic, Bonny Eagle Girls Soccer MVP, and BEHS Most Outstanding Physical Education Award. Lindsey will be attending Norwich University and majoring in nursing then returning to Maine to work as a trauma nurse.

Marley Harmon

Marley is the daughter of David and Jean Harmon, of Buxton. Marley has been captain of varsity soccer and basketball for four years. She attended the SMAA Sportsmanship Conference and has been a three-year officer of the National Honor Society. She has received the SMAA All-Academic Award as well as the Honors U.S. History, Honors English 11, and Accounting I Underclassman Awards. Marley will be attending Lyndon State College majoring in exercise science/physical therapy then plans to travel the world.

Natalie Hewitt

Natalie is the daughter of Duncan and Catherine Hewitt, both of Hollis. Natalie has been a National Honor Society officer, and has participated in Model United Nations, Green Team, cross country, indoor/outdoor track, and horseback riding. She will be pursuing pre-medical studies at the University of Vermont.

Matthew Hoyt

Matthew is the son of Barbara and Richard Hoyt, of Buxton. He has participated in the Civil Rights Team, National Honor Society, cross country, outdoor track and is president and bulletin editor of Key Club. Matthew was a delegate for Dirigo Boys State and has received the Honors Geometry Underclassman Award, Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award, and is a certified member of the National Honor Society and Key Club as well. Matthew will be attending Elmira College majoring in biology research with plans to enter the Peace Corps.

Stephen Kessler

Stephen is the son of Sherry and David Kessler, of Buxton. Stephen has participated in Ski Club and is an all-around outdoors person who enjoys fishing, hunting, archery, camping and boating. He has built and restored rib and plank wood canoes in the wood shop at the high school. Stephen will be attending Southern Maine Community College majoring in criminal justice with plans for a career as a game warden in Maine.

Gaelyn Lindauer (salutatorian)

Gaelyn is the daughter of Saul and Sari Lindauer, of Hollis. Gaelyn has been editor/writer for The Eagle Times and editor of The Green Light Literary Magazine. She has been a National Honors Society officer, a member of The Kindness Club, Spanish Language Honor Society, Green Team, and Drama Tech Crew. She participated in cross Country and indoor/outdoor track. Gaelyn won Underclassman Awards in Algebra I, Lab Earth Science, Creative Writing II, AP English and Art. She received the Dartmouth Book Award, Junior Scholar-Athlete, Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Gold and Silver Keys in Art and Poetry, Governor’s Young Writer of the Year 2012, Bruce Dobkowski Sportsmanship and Most Improved Athletic Awards. Gaelyn will attend Hampshire College to study creative writing and publishing.

Allie Parkin

Allie is the daughter of Sherri and Christopher Parkin, of Hollis. She has participated in Key Club and Dressage and is Key Club-certified. Allie will be attending the University of Vermont majoring in veterinary medicine with plans of being a veterinarian.

Hannah Pomerleau

Hannah is the daughter of Michael and Debra Pomerleau, of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She has received awards for Global Village Student of the Year, Culinary Arts Student-of-the-Quarter, and has been a four-year Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award recipient. Hannah will be attending University of Southern Maine to study linguistics with concentration in American Sign Language in order to one day be an interpreter working with deaf children.

Katie Quinn

Katie is the daughter of Kelly Quinn, of Hollis. She has been a member of Amnesty International, National Honor Society, French Language Honor Society and Fight Against Cancer Society. She has participated in cross country and varsity tennis as captain. She has received a Phi Beta Kappa Award, as well as awards for Freshman Female Scholar-Athlete, twice most dedicated tennis player, Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement, and has placed first and second in the Maine History Day competitions. Katie will be attending University of Southern Maine and majoring in political science in order to pursue a career as a lawyer.

Anthony Ratte?

Anthony is the son of Margaret and Henry Ratte?, of Steep Falls. Anthony has been an active member of the Bonny Eagle Robotics Team and has received the FIRST Gracious Professionalism Award and FIRST Motorola Quality Award, as well as the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award. Anthony will be attending Worcester Polytech and majoring in computer engineering.

Jordan Ray

Jordan is the daughter of Richard and Andrea Ray, of Standish. She has been a member of the Outing Club and the Fight Against Cancer Society. She has been a four-year participant in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse and served as captain of all three teams her senior year. Jordan has received awards from National Honor Society, Spanish Language Honor Society, and SMAA All-Academic for field hockey and basketball. Jordan will be attending Plymouth State University and majoring in biology with plans to work in the medical field.

Thomas Reagan

Thomas, or “T.J.”, is the son of Michele Reagan, of Standish. He has participated in Key Club, four years of varsity soccer, and three years of varsity baseball. As a senior, T.J. received the All-SMAA Defensive Team Award for soccer. He will be attending USM to study sports management with plans of working for a New England pro sports team.

Molly Ronco

Molly is the daughter of John and Cindy Ronco, of Bar Mills. She has been a member of the Spanish Language Honor Society, National Honor Society, Civil Rights Team, girls tennis, and served as vice president in Key Club. Molly has received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award, as well as the FST Underclassman Award, and awards from National Honor Society and the Spanish Language Honor Society. Molly will be attending Elmira College where she will major in biology.

Shannon Sanborn

Shannon is the daughter of Karen and Dwight Sanborn, of Standish. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Language Honor Society, Prom Committee, Graduation Committee, Project Kindness, and served as junior and senior class secretary. Shannon has been a four-year athlete in varsity soccer, basketball and lacrosse. She received awards for Most Improved in soccer and basketball, SMAA All-Academic, captain, Defensive MVP in Lacrosse, and US All-Academic. She also received certificates of outstanding achievement in algebra II and statistics. Shannon will be going to the University of Maine to major in the nursing program with plans of nursing in the Army or becoming a traveling nurse.

Hannah Schlehuber-Johnson

Hannah is the daughter of Tara and Lance Johnson, of Buxton. She has participated in Select Chorus, Student Council and field hockey. She has received the Citizenship Award and Underclassman Choral Award. She will be attending the University of Maine at Farmington and majoring in secondary education social sciences.

Lauren Sharples

Lauren is the daughter of Stanley and Karen Sharples, of Buxton. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, French Language Honor Society, Student Council, Model State, secretary of Key Club, editor-in-chief of The Eagle Times, editor of The Green Light Literary Magazine, and delegate to Dirigo Girls State. Lauren has received the BEHS Journalism Award, and the Kathryn McGonagle Creative Writing I and II Awards. She will be attending the Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Honors Program to study writing and publishing.

Connor Shields

Connor is the son of James and Kathleen Shields, of Buxton. He has served as the Senior Class vice president, a National Honor Society officer, and has been a member of the French Language Honor Society and Project Kindness. Connor has played varsity hockey, lacrosse, and golf. He has also received the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. Connor will be attending the University of Maine with a major in chemical engineering.

Ian Smith

Ian is the son of James Jr. and Donna Smith, of Buxton. He has been a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society, Kindness Club, Outing Club, Math Team, and Student Council as well as participating in swimming and football. Ian earned the Bruce Dobkowski Award for Sportsmanship, Most Dedicated in Swimming, as well as SMAA All-Academic for swimming and football. Ian will be attending the University of New Hampshire to study chemistry and then plans to pursue a Ph.D.

Nicole Smith

Nicole is the daughter of Kristeen and Michael Smith, of Standish. She coached for Bonny Eagle Cheering Boosters for three years and was the fall and winter cheerleading captain her senior year. Nicole has received the SMAA All-Academic Award for two seasons, and the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award for three years. She will be attending the University of New England to study pharmacy and then plans to become a research pharmacist.

Ethan Standel

Ethan is the son of Mike and Kim Standel, of Steep Falls. Ethan participated in outdoor track and three years in cross country. He also received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award for two years. Ethan will be attending the University of Southern Maine, studying electrical engineering.

Amanda Thibodeau

Amanda is the daughter of Scott and Christina Thibodeau, of Buxton. She was a member of Mock Trial, and served as president of the French Language Honor Society, and vice president of Amnesty International Club. She received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award and Undergraduate Award each year of high school. Amanda will be attending Syracuse University to pursue a double major in biology and anthropology with future endeavors as a forensic anthropologist and forensic science technician.

Hannah Thomas

Hannah is the daughter of Virginia Lally-Hughes, of Hollis, and Michael Thomas, of Limington. Hannah participated in 1st team softball and two years in soccer. She received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award all four years. Hannah will be attending the University of Southern Maine, majoring in health sciences.

Sean Turner (valedictorian)

Sean is the son of Tom and Chris Turner, of Hollis. Sean has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Language Honor Society and North East Rottweiler Rescue & Referral Program. Sean has also participated on the wrestling team for four years, serving as captain for two years. He has received the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award for all four years. Sean will be attending University of Maine to study engineering.

Taylor Wortheim

Taylor is the daughter of Dan and Sarah Wortheim, of Hollis. Taylor has been a member of the National Honor Society throughout her entire high school experience as well as participating in soccer. She achieved Underclassman Awards in English 9, Global Village, and honorable mention for Academic Excellence English 9, as well as the Standish Kiwanis Club Scholastic Achievement Award all four years. She received Athletic Awards for soccer all four years. Taylor will be attending the University of New Hampshire majoring in pre-veterinary medicine with a specialty in large animals.
