BRADENTON, FL — Marjorie E. Ricker, 96, died March 28, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Poland Springs, Maine, July 19, 1916, the daughter of Elberton and Eleanor Brown Courson and graduated from Brunswick High School, class of 1935.
Mrs. Ricker was employed for many years by New England Telephone in Brunswick and Bath, as an operator, also employed at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. She retired in 1968. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and going to Florida, until making her home there.
She was predeceased by a sister, Bertina C. Hyde of Brunswick.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith M. (Drapeau) Thompson of Bradenton, FL, a son, Shawn Hyde of Harpswell, ME, 2 grandsons, Jay and James Thompson and 3 great-granddaughters, Kristin, Marissa and Michaela Thompson, all of FL.
A committal service will be held on July 13, 11 a.m., at Hillcrest Cemetery, Harpswell, Maine. For those unable to attend, condolences to the family may be made at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
