BATH — Are you a “Twilight” saga fanatic? Have you read the series multiple times and seen all the movies? Are you ready to test your knowledge with other area devotees of Bella and Edward?
On Friday, May 31, Patten Free Library will open registration for a Twilight Trivia Contest, to be held at the library on Wednesday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. The event is open to ages 12 and up.
“We got the idea for this program from one of our regular young patrons who loves Stephanie Meyers’ series,” says Roberta Jordan, an outreach and instruction librarian at Patten. “We have designed the event as a team competition for groups of up to three people, and ask that teams register by contact me by email at rjordan@patten.lib.me.us, or in person at the library reference desk.”
The questions in the competition cover the first three books in the series, “Twilight,” “New Moon” and “Eclipse.” There will be light refreshments served, and library staff will award prizes for the best team costume, the best team name, and for the team with the most trivial knowledge.
For more information, contact Roberta Jordan at Patten Free Library (443-5141 ext. 25) or rjordan@patten.lib.me.us.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
