BRUNSWICK
Police are investigating a vandalism reported at Brunswick High School early Wednesday morning.
Brunswick Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said the vandalism was reported at 5:26 a.m. by a delivery truck driver and involved toilet paper and signs pulled up.
Paul Perzanoski, superintendent of Brunswick schools, said Wednesday that a couple of signs were taken down, some greenery torn up and the front entrance egged in addition to the toilet paper found draped in trees and over shrubbery.
Custodian staff plucked toilet paper from trees and hosed egg residue from the school entrance Wednesday morning, but no serious permanent damage was apparent.
“I would say it’s probably the end-of-the-year school pranks,” Perzanoski said. A couple of weeks ago, the back of the school was toiletpapered.
While school property was not seriously damaged, “It’s still damage to the building,” Perzanoski said, and is taking time away from the custodians to clean it up.
Damaging pranks or not, the incidents are not condoned by the school district.
Perzanoski said, “I’m sure the administration at the high school will let it be know it is not acceptable.”
