BATH — Community members are welcome to attend United Way of Mid Coast Maine’s annual meeting 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Maine Maritime Museum, 243 Washington St.
The special keynote address will be on the topic “The Community’s Role in Preparing Children for School,” by School Administrative District 75 Superintendent Brad Smith.
The meeting is sponsored by Oxford Networks.
Also at the annual meeting the following individuals will be nominated for election or re-election to United Way’s Board of Directors: Ray Anderson of Jefferson, Bill Brillant of Downeast Energy, Jeff Geiger of Bath Iron Works, Glenn Hutchinson of Bath Savings Institution, Connie Jones of Boothbay Region Senior Services, Tom Kivler of Mid Coast Health Services, Sandy Morrell Rooney of Brunswick, and Pat Thomas of Bath Iron Works.
Dennis Unger, director of University College at Bath/Brunswick, will be nominated for election as chairman of United Way’s Board of Directors. George Reichert of The Times Record will be nominated as first vice chairman, Bath Police Chief Michael Field as second vice chairman and Bowdoin College comptroller Matt Orlando as treasurer.
