Brunswick detectives on the trail of a stolen cell phone Sunday night visited a suspect on Perryman Drive where they allegedly found additional stolen items.
Brunswick police Lt. Michael Moody said police went to the home of Jordan S. Griffis, 19, on Perryman Drive because Griffis was suspected of stealing someone’s personal cell phone. Moody said Griffis gave permission for police to look inside his residence, at which point they allegedly found other property that had been reported stolen in separate incidents.
Moody said police at that point secured the residence and obtained a search warrant.
Griffis was arrested, charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, and taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland. Moody said he is scheduled to be arraigned today.
Police continue to investigate and further charges are pending, Moody said.
