BRUNSWICK — Folk Dance Brunswick, a nonprofit organization offering international folk dance events at People Plus, has stepped up its schedule to offer dancing on a weekly basis.
The Folk Dance Brunswick group was founded by a number of area dancers in May 2012 and had been meeting biweekly. The group is open to the public and enjoys world music and dance from the Balkans, Israel, northern Europe and around the globe.
Folk Dance Brunswick meets weekly on Fridays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at People Plus, 35 Union St., one block west of Maine Street.
Suggested donations are $8, or $5 for students and seniors. All are welcome.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
