MONMOUTH (AP) — Police say a Chelsea man has died after his motorcycle rolled over him as he rode through Monmouth.
Chief Kevin Mulherin says Bruce Morgan, 48, and another motorcyclist were riding through town at about 9 p.m. Tuesday when Morgan lost control, started to slide and fell off his bike. The chief says the bike rolled over Morgan and killed him instantly.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Mulherin tells the Kennebec Journal speed was not a factor and police are checking to see whether alcohol was involved.
Morgan was described as an experienced rider who owned several bikes.
