PHIPPSBURG — Learn how to revitalize old apple trees as the Phippsburg Land Trust presents a hands-on apple tree pruning workshop with Willow Schwarz of Landcrafters.
The event is 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11 at Wilbur Preserve at Cox’s Head, Cox’s Head Road.
Bring hand pruners and saws and wear gloves and fullcover clothing, with poison ivy in part of the orchard area.
After pruning, participants will walk to summit of Cox’s Head for stunning views of Popham Beach and the Phippsburg and Georgetown peninsulas.
