BERWICK (AP) — Authorities say a special education teacher has died in a head-on collision.

Amy Harris, who worked at Vivian E. Hussey School in Berwick, died. Police said her children, ages 7 and 4, were taken to a hospital with injuries.

The Portsmouth Herald reports police said a car driven by a 17-year-old Berwick Academy student was heading south on Route 4 and apparently crossed over into the northbound lane Wednesday morning.

The other driver also was injured and is expected to recover.
