LISBON

Lisbon police have charged a teenager in connection with vandalism that flattened tires on 15 school buses in early March — an incident that cancelled school for a day across the district.

Police charged a 16-year-old Lisbon High School junior Wednesday with one count of aggravated criminal mischief.

Police say the teen also stole electrical cords from the buses.

A number of community members offered tips in the investigation. Students also were interviewed.

The case will be referred to the Maine Department of Corrections’ Juvenile Services in Auburn.
