BRUNSWICK
Not that the Lego company needs much marketing help, but a recruiter from the iconographic toy buildingblock manufacturer visited Bowdoin College Wednesday to look for potential new employees.
Michael Moynihan, Bowdoin class of 1989, is a marketing director for the company, which has its U. S. headquarters in Enfield, Conn. A pair of 2012 grads, Chelsea Albright and Dan Lowinger, were hired as marketing associates after a similar session last year, said Todd Herrmann, associate director of employer relations at Bowdoin’s career planning office.
Additionally, current senior Max Steiger worked in Enfield as a marketing intern during summer 2012.
“They’re a new employer for us,” Herrmann said. “It’s an example of how to use a Bowdoin liberal arts education in a marketing or public relations role.
“Do you need a marketing degree to work there?” he said. “No.”
