WOOLWICH — Robert B. and Sandra Emerson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 26, 2013, at a party given by their children, Carol Ann Nibarger and her husband John, Robert D., Vicki Mosier and her husband Dennis, Chris and his wife Lori. The party held at the Bath American Legion was attended by many family and friends of the couple.

Music was provided by family friend Todd Stilphen of Bath. The cake was made by granddaughter, Heidi Mosier Thiboutot of Wiscasset.

Mr. and Mrs. Emerson were married on Jan. 18, 1963, at the Beacon Street Baptist Church in Bath. They were attended by the late George and Carol Robshaw of Bath.

Mr. Emerson, son of the late Ralph and Helen Wright of Woolwich and the late John Emerson of Durham, attended Woolwich schools, received his GED from Morse High in 1989. He is a construction foreman for H.C. Crooker & Sons of Topsham for 46 years.

Mrs. Emerson, daughter of the late Walter Smith and Grace Smith of Woolwich, attended Woolwich schools, graduated from Morse High class of 1960, Maine School of Practical Nursing in Waterville in 1962, and worked at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor until her marriage. She is a homemaker.

The Emersons have 9 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and reside in Woolwich.
