On Saturday, March 16, at 11 a.m., celebrating both her birthday and the exhibit, Cullen will present an Artist Talk about her work.
A news release describes the exhibit as follows:
“Syncopated Harmonies” is a color study in 21 panels, created to be viewed in large open spaces or in small groupings throughout hallways. The design is versatile in that it can be installed in many different configurations. The first time it was displayed was at the Portland Museum of Art. For that exhibition, the panels were arranged in a very large square grid (approximately 150 inches by 150 inches).
Cullens will discuss her process, guide visitors through the exhibit and answer questions about her work.
Artist Talks at the library allow the artist to have contact with his/her audience in an intimate setting and offer a chance for dialogue between artist and audience. Refreshments will be served.
