With lyrics and music by the team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (“Ragtime,” “Seussical”), “Lucky Stiff” is a farcical homage to the lighter, less ponderous musicals of the past, a news release said.
Harry (Julien Leavitt), a mildmannered British shoe salesman, stands to inherit $6 million dollars from a dead uncle but must first take the corpse on a dream vacation to Monte Carlo.
Along the way, he meets his uncle’s near-sighted mistress (Maggie Robbins), her high-strung optometrist brother (Travis Robbins), and the beautiful representative of the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn (Sydney Choate), the charity that will receive the $6 million if Harry fails in his responsibilities as tour guide.
Will Harry find the patience and backbone he needs to secure his inheritance, find true love and change his future?
