Police are investigating a case of shoplifting at a Route 196 convenience store Tuesday.
Topsham police Lt. Fred Dunn said a lone male entered the Gibbs Oil gas station on Route 196 at around 7:40 p.m., Thursday and stole a case of beer and two sandwiches.
Once outside, the suspect reportedly walked around the back of the building toward a trail that leads to nearby condominiums.
Police are still investigating the incident.

Police are also investigating a residential burglary reported at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday.
Someone is believed to have entered a residence on First Street earlier in the day, Dunn said, and taken an Xbox game console and prescription pain medicine.
