WOOLWICH — The Nequasset Trailbreakers Snowmobile club teamed again with the Woolwich Fire Department to hold their 36th annual Fishing Derby on Nequasset Lake on Sunday.

The derby started at sunrise and ended at 4 p.m. There were prizes for the largest fish overall, which went to Gene York for a 4-14 bass, with Steve Peaslee’s catch of 3-13 in second for bass.

First place trout went to Ethan Rogers with a 3-08 catch, while Mike Crocker was second at 2-00.75. In the pickerel division, Zack Holbrook was first with an eightounce catch, followed Josh Lapointe’s sixouncer, while Mark Koehling Jr. took home the yellow perch top prize (1-01) and Aaron Lapointe was second (10 ounce).

In the youth division (12 and under), Tanner Peaslee’s haul of a 3-13 bass was tops, earning him a lifetime fishing license. Annie Peaslee was second in bass at 2-13.

Pickerel honors went to Sydney McCaren (1-01) ahead of Peaslee (1-0), and Harley Anderson was narrowly first with a nine-ounce yellow perch. Peaslee also had a nine-ounce yellow perch.
