FREEPORT — Pettengill Farm in Freeport will offer a hands-on workshop teaching participants how to prune apple and other fruit trees.
The event is 2 to 3:15 p.m. Sunday, March 17. Teaching the session is University of Maine Cooperative Extension educator Richard J. Brzozowski, who obtained his doctoral degree in agricultural education at the University of Missouri.
Tools and goggles will be provided. Work gloves and appropriate footwear are advised. The fee is $5; members may participate at no charge. Registration and payment is required in advance. For information, call 865-3170.
