BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College Upward Bound and the McKeen Center for the Common Good will co-sponsor a screening and discussion of the documentary “Homeless Youth in Lewiston.”
The film was produced by the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council to raise awareness of the challenges faced by youths who are unable to live with parents or family.
A panel discussion of the issues and how individuals and agencies can assist homeless Mid-Coast youth will follow with members of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council who created the film.
The screening is free and open to the public, 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Hubbard Hall on the Bowdoin campus.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
