BRUNSWICK — The Midcoast CA$ H Coalition is offering free tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers in Brunswick, Topsham, Bath, Richmond and Wiscasset from now until April 13 to people whose combined or individual income was less than $51,000 in 2012.
The Super Refund Saturday event Saturday, Feb. 9 at Midcoast Community Action features free tax preparation, free credit report review, assistance with the Maine rent rebate/property tax rebate form, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the Harold Alfond College Challenge application.
Volunteers also help connect people to community resources such as free budgeting workshops, small business workshops, free credit counseling, connections to matched savings account programs, and more.
