BRUNSWICK
A West Bath man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon in a Gurnet Road business without a permit.
Brunswick police arrested Cade Wright, 29, of 23 Larrabee Grove Road, and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon.
The arrest took place Saturday night at 5:12 p.m. at the Starbucks on Gurnet Road.
Brunswick Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said Lt. Todd Ridlon was in the coffee shop when he came into contact with Wright.
During a conversation with Wright, Ridlon determined Wright was carrying a firearm but did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
Ridlon removed from Wright’s person a loaded Glock 23 .40-caliber handgun and arrested him on a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
Wright made $500 unsecured bail and was given an April 2 court date at West Bath District Court.
