Brunswick police arrested the assistant coach of the Bowdoin College women’s ice hockey team, alleging she was drunk when she struck the side of a college building late Sunday.

Brunswick police responded to report of a motor vehicle into a building Sunday at 10:41 p.m. They arrested Holly Lorms, 24, of 15 Potter St., Apt. 4, Brunswick, and charged her with operating under the influence.

Brunswick Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said Lorms was driving a 1999 Lexus sport utility vehicle north on Sills Drive when she left the roadway, struck a utility pole then struck the Druckenmiller Science Building, on Polar Loop.

Air bags deployed during the crash, Hagan said, but no one was injured. A brick wall sustained damage.
