Brunswick police are searching for a masked man they say robbed a Big Apple store at gunpoint Wednesday.
According to a news release issued late Wednesday by the Brunswick Police Department, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at 178 Bath Road at 9:36 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspect was described as wearing a black ski mask, matching camouflage pants and a hooded jacket. Police believe they are looking for a white male with a medium build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall.
The suspect entered the store, brandished a black handgun and demanded money from the store clerk, obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the store on foot. A Bath Police Department canine team was called in to perform a search of the area.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect is asked to call Detective Sgt. Martin Rinaldi with the Brunswick Police Criminal Investigative Division at 725-6670, ext. 162.
