UNITY (AP) — The president of a Maine college will attend a conference in India that is focusing on sustainable development.
Unity College President Stephen Mulkey will be a presenter at the 13th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit in New Delhi, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2.
Others who will participate include Pulitzer Prize winning author and New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, and several heads of state.
Mulkey’s presentation will consider how the world can create knowledge and innovation to ensure efficient use of resources and develop a pattern of sustainable development. Mulkey is a widely published researcher, scientist and educator.
