PORTLAND — The Richmond High School girls basketball team improved to 10-2 Friday with a Class D nonconference 56-9 win over Seacoast Christian Academy.
Jamie Plummer paced the Bobcats (scheduled to visit Greenville on Friday) with 13 points, while Payton Johnson added 10 points and five steals and Noell Acord four points, eight steals and five rebounds.
Shannon Kunz had four points in the loss.
Richmond led 14-0, 29-5 and 44-7 at the breaks and shot seven of 14 from the line. Seacoast did not attempt a free throw.

The Hyde girls improved to 11-0 on Saturday with a win on the road.
After a 7-7 first-quarter stalemate, Hyde led 16-13 at the half and 26-16 after three.
Katie Comeaux scored all of her team-high 10 points in the second half. Comeaux also collected seven rebounds and three steals.
Kara Fischer added seven points and seven rebounds, along with eight steals, while Diamond Brown chipped in with eight rebounds and five points. Jailene Martinez had six points and Carolyn Moore had a key basket to end the first half and Shannon Ward scored eight points.
Hyde is scheduled to host North Yarmouth Academy on Tuesday.

In Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play on Friday, Josie Lee did it all for the 6-6 Rams as she scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 12 assists en route to a win over the Dragons.
Brunswick dipped to 2-10 and is scheduled to host Lawrence today.
Haley Quirion chipped in with 17 points and Emily Quirion 15 for the Rams.
Julia Champagne scored 14 points for Brunswick.

In Mountain Valley Conference play on Friday, Sam Bruce popped in 19 points to lead the 11-2 Bulldogs past the 2-10 Wolverines, who are scheduled to host Winthrop on Tuesday.
Bronte Elias chipped in with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Kristen Wood had 10 points for the victors, who led 12-6, 22-17 and 33-21 at the breaks.
Briana Goud, Kasey Cromwell and Heidi Pinkham (defensive standout with four steals) paced the hosts with eight points each, while Alecia Faulkingham had six. Goud also had 10 rebounds.
At the foul line, Madison was 18 of 25 and Wiscasset three of 14.
